How to change the file type association of an existing file in PHPStorm
In order to change the file type association of an existing file in PHPStorm,
1 you have to go to Settings -> Editor -> File Types
2 navigate in Recognized File Types
3 select thefile type that is mistakenly associated with your file (for example, Text)
4 ifind you file in Registered patterns and select it
5 click "-" (Remove) or press Alr+Delete
